I am guessing you all have your Christmas decorations up, bought yourself some new outfit, got the biggest turkey in the backyard awaiting slaughter and you are joyously in the mood of Christmas but I honestly don’t want you to lose sight of the significance and importance of the season……..
Jesus was born in Nazareth in a manger and according to
“John 1vs 45-46: Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.”
Relating that excerpt from the bible to our present lingual; Nazareth can be described as a ghetto like dustbin estate, so nothing excellent was expected from there but the birth of Jesus changed that fact. Nazareth is now a tourist attraction to those on pilgrimage. I declare to you that people will visit your neighborhood because of you. Jesus came from a ghetto but didn’t let that stop him from being the king of kings; where you come from will not stop your shine in Jesus name. (Amen)
The birth of Jesus was a miracle that has never happened before and after his time.
Luke 1vs35: And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
Mary has been the only virgin to ever give birth and scientifically that’s impossible but when God is at work, the impossible shall be possible in your life. I pray this day, that your miracle shall be uncommon and unadulterated in Jesus name. I really can’t hear you saying a louder AMEN to that!!
Jesus the king of kings and lord of lords was crucified with hardened criminals and what was his crime; he stole your heart from the devil by dying for your sins. All he demands in return for this huge favour is for you to live your life to make heaven so his death will not be in vain. Come to me all ye that labour and I will give you rest”…I beseech you to come to Jesus: What are your problems, what challenges are you faced with and you think, you can’t make it through…if he can die for you, he can also make you whole again!!!
Lastly, Jesus forgave even on the cross.
“Luke 23vs43- Jesus said to him, “I promise you that today you will be in Paradise with me.”…..
Some of us have been holding grudges; someone has hurt us so badly that will find it so hard to forgive but Christmas is not all about merriment alone, Christ is the reason for the season and all he represent is FORGIVENESS, so celebrate Christmas with those that have wronged you, call them, send them a text or even portions of turkey and as you do so, GOD BLESS YOU!!!!
WISHING YOU ALL A MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
P.S: please I beg of you, don’t send me a message wishing me a ‘merry xmas’. If you are too lazy to spell out ‘Christmas’ I understand, let’s not forget CHRIST is the reason for the season!!!
